Snow Magick

As I write this, we have about 10 inches of snow on the ground in Roanoke, VA. We hardly ever get snow any more, so this was a beautiful surprise.

There are so many ways you can use snow if your magick. Check out the list below, and if you want a pretty printout for your grimoire, you can download a copy below.

  • Collect snow and let it melt to make snow water. Use it in cleansing sprays, in ritual baths, for scrying or to clean your water-safe magickal tools and crystals.
  • Draw sigils in the snow to bring energy to you or to release an energy. As the snow melts, it will carry your intention to the universe.
  • Use a snowball to release an energy. As you pack the snow, think about what you want to release and how your life will change when it’s gone. Throw the snowball as far away from you as you can to release the unwanted energy from your life.
  • While the snow is falling, stand outside and let the flakes “wash” away bad energy, worries, etc.
  • Draw a sigil on frosted windows for protection, a happy home or any other intent you’d like.
  • Charge a snowman in your yard with protective intent.
  • Use snow for transformation spells or spells for change (snow to ice, snow to water).
