Self-Care with Tea Magick
28 Days of Self-Care – Day 6
What’s cozier on a cold February day than a hot cup of tea? The warmth from holding the cup in your hands, the steam hitting your face, the enticing scent, and the magickal intention as you sip it down. It’s the perfect soothing self-care ritual.
One simple way to use tea magick is to let the herb in the tea lend you its energy.
- Lavender or chamomile tea to soothe you or induce sleep
- Lemon tea to brighten your day
- Ginger tea for balance, grounding and healing
- Jasmine tea for relaxation and self-love
Other ways to use teas in your magick:
• Drink it and envision your intent. Stir your sweetener or cream clockwise (deosil) to attract something to you or counterclockwise (widdershins) to release unwanted energies.
• With each sip think a positive thought of gratitude.
• Simmer on the stove to bring the scent into your home.
• Add tea bags to your bath, think relaxing and skin soothing – chamomile, lavender.
• Scry with your cup of tea. Use the surface of the tea or even the steam.
• Do a little meditation with the four elements: the tea leaves for earth, the steam for air, the heat from the tea for fire and the water represents water.
• If you are using loose tea, try some tea leaf reading.
Now, you just have to find a blanket and a good witchy book!
