28 Days of Witchy Self-Care – Day 28

I love working with the four elements – earth, air, fire and water. They are readily accessible, easy to work with and lend themselves to all sorts of witchcraft (spells, meditation, self-care). Let’s explore some different ways you can use them.

Earth:

  • Use the earth element for grounding. Visualize your feet growing roots, digging into the ground and pulling up energy.
  • Walk barefoot on the ground to soothe yourself with earth’s loving energy.
  • Go on a nature walk. Take in the beauty. Smell the flowers. Hug a tree.
  • Hold onto a calming crystal or lay down and place it on your heart chakra.

Air:

  • Breathe…just breathe…in and out…in and out.
  • Go outside and let the cool breeze blow negative energy off of you.
  • Listen to pleasant sounds – wind chimes, soothing music or birds chirping.
  • Lay in the grass and watch the clouds float by. Scry with them if you want.

Fire:

  • Light a candle and watch the flame flicker or meditate with the candle.
  • Sit in the warm sun for a few minutes.
  • Enjoy an evening beside an outdoor fire pit.
  • Visualize igniting your inner fire.

Water:

  • Take a relaxing bath.
  • Stand out in a spring rain to wash away negative energy.
  • Spend time at a body of water like the ocean or a river.
  • Listen to the trickling water of a fountain.
